STAMFORD, Conn. – August 5, 2026 – This week on Golf Channel, the PGA TOUR’s Wyndham Championship marks the end of the regular season and will be the last chance for TOUR players to earn a spot in next week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship, the first event of the FedExCup Playoffs.
Last week, USA Sports saw strong viewership gains and milestones from its coverage on USA Network and Golf Channel last week.
Viewership for four-day coverage of the AIG Women's Open on USA Network was up 15%, driven by weekend gains during Saturday and Sunday's five-hour windows.
Golf Channel's PGA TOUR Rocket Classic viewership was up 25% vs. 2025 and was most-watched since 2020, including Sunday's 1.05 million average viewers, which is the second most-watched cable telecast in the history of the event.
PGA TOUR – WYNDHAM CHAMPIONSHIP
The Wyndham Championship is the final event of the 2026 regular season on the PGA TOUR, with the top 70 players in the FedEx Cup regular season standings at the end of this week advancing to the FedEx Cup Playoffs’ FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Teeing off from Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C., several notable players in the bubble around the 70th position will be competing this week to advance their position in the FedExCup standings. This includes TOUR rookie and 2026 3M Open winner Jackson Koivun (No. 70), eight-time TOUR winner Keegan Bradley (72), 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Player of the Year Johnny Keefer (74), 13-time PGA TOUR winner Jason Day (75), and five-time major champion Brooks Koepka (86).

USGA – U.S. Women’s Amateur
The Pete Dye-designed Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tenn. is hosting the USGA’s U.S. Women’s Amateur for the first time this week, with the top amateurs competing for the Robert Cox Trophy.
After two rounds of stroke play on Tuesday and Wednesday, the field will be cut to 64 for the beginning of match play on Thursday. The Round of 64, Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Championship matches will air across Golf Channel, Golf Channel Mobile, and GolfChannel.com.
