(NEW YORK – Sept. 9, 2026) – MS NOW’s Membership is now live – the organization’s first direct-to-consumer offering and a new way for audiences to watch, connect, and engage with MS NOW, its journalists, and one another.
The MS NOW Membership is available now in the App Store, on Google Play, and online at ms.now. Membership is available for $7.99 per month or $79.99 annually. Through Sept. 30 at 11:59 p.m. ET, new Members can take advantage of an introductory offer of $39.99 (+ tax) for the first full year of Membership. Terms apply.
The launch introduces an experience organized around five destinations: For You, Watch, Connect, Breathe and Explore, bringing together MS NOW’s 24/7 live television feed, exclusive programming, live conversations with anchors and reporters, a moderated Member community, a curated daily briefing, mindfulness offerings and more.
“MS NOW has always had an audience that wants to go deeper, hear more from the people doing the reporting, and connect with others who are equally engaged with the issues shaping their lives,” said Rebecca Kutler, president of MS NOW. “This Membership gives us the opportunity to build that relationship in new ways. We can create a standing place for those conversations to happen every day, while giving Members an experience that is more personal, participatory, and responsive to what they want from us.”
The launch follows more than a year of research and development informed by more than 18,000 survey responses, one-on-one consumer conversations, product and concept testing, and ongoing beta testing and refinement.
The MS NOW Membership launches with three additional pillars of the experience unveiled today:
A MODERATED COMMUNITY BUILT FOR MEMBERS TO CONNECT WITH MS NOW AND ONE ANOTHER
At the center of the Membership’s Connect experience is a moderated community designed to extend the relationship between MS NOW and its audience beyond a traditional one-way news experience.
Members can participate in ongoing discussions with MS NOW anchors, reporters, contributors, and experts, as well as connect directly with one another around the news and shared interests.
MS NOW will introduce new discussion threads daily, including posts from its anchors, reporters, and experts. Members can respond, exchange perspectives, and participate in conversations with MS NOW journalists and contributors regularly joining the discussion.
The community will span five broad categories:
News, with discussions focused on topics including elections and democracy, immigration, civil rights, business and the economy, healthcare, foreign policy, national security, criminal justice, state and local politics, press freedom, arts and culture, sports, climate and the environment.
Interests, including communities such as Page Turners, focused on books worth reading; Practicing Faith, centered on faith and spiritual life; Raising the Next Generation, for parents and grandparents; Showing Up, focused on civic engagement and local action; and Pursuit of Health & Happiness, centered on everyday practices for living well.
Forums, creating spaces for Members with shared experiences and perspectives, including public servants, caregivers, veterans and military families, immigrants and first-generation Americans, retirees, LGBTQ+ Members, swing-state voters and others.
Trending Stories, bringing Members together around the biggest stories dominating the news cycle over an extended period, with dedicated spaces to follow developments, exchange perspectives, and discuss ongoing coverage of major events and issues as they unfold.
Shows, forums centered around MS NOW’s programs and anchors, giving Members a place to continue the conversation beyond the broadcast, discuss show programming, react to interviews and segments, and engage around topics, ideas, and interests connected to their favorite hosts.
The Connect experience will also serve as the home of MS NOW’s previously announced twice-daily live Q&As.
Seven days a week at 12 p.m. ET, Members can join conversations with MS NOW anchors including Rachel Maddow, Joe Scarborough and the Morning Joe team, Ali Velshi and Stephanie Ruhle, Michael Steele, Jen Psaki, The Weekend co-hosts, and Rev. Al Sharpton, among others.
At 6 p.m. ET, On the Ground With… connects Members directly with MS NOW reporters covering the day’s biggest stories, providing additional reporting and behind-the-scenes context while taking Member questions live.
Together, the daily Q&As and ongoing discussions establish a consistent time and place for Members to connect with MS NOW’s journalists and turn the news from a one-way experience into an ongoing conversation.
Connect will also become the digital home for MS NOW Live, allowing Members to livestream the organization’s growing slate of live events when they cannot attend in person.
The first will be MS NOW Live: Together in Texas on Sept. 26, which Members can stream live through the Membership experience.
The Membership’s For You experience offers Members a curated way to catch up on the news without creating another endless feed.
When joining, Members can select the MS NOW hosts and reporters they want to follow and update those preferences at any time. Their For You feed brings together a tailored selection of video, articles, upcoming live Q&A reminders, exclusive programming and other content.
Each day begins with The Daily Briefing, a curated collection of short-form clips highlighting essential news and analysis from across MS NOW’s television programming, podcasts, exclusive series and original reporting.
Designed for Members who may have only a few minutes to catch up, The Daily Briefing provides a concise way to understand the stories driving the day and hear perspectives from across MS NOW.
Unlike an infinite feed designed to keep users scrolling, the For You experience is intentionally finite. Once Members reach the end of their curated content, they will have an opportunity to move into Breathe, the Membership’s dedicated mindfulness experience.
As announced yesterday, Breathe includes an exclusive collection of guided meditations created in partnership with Calm, along with original programming from experts including Dan Harris, Nedra Glover Tawwab, Dr. Joel Bervell, Richard Lui, and Dr. Ann-Louise Lockhart.
The Membership also launches with an introductory slate of original news series available exclusively to Members. This initial lineup represents the first phase of a programming strategy that will continue to evolve, with new programs and experiences introduced over time, offerings rotating in and out, and the slate refined as we learn more about what resonates with Members.
“Rachel Maddow: In Conversation with…”
In this monthly long-form interview series, Rachel Maddow speaks with people behind the headlines to explore major stories in politics, history and public life.
“The Very Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell”
Each week, Lawrence O’Donnell takes Members behind the scenes and shares the one thing he couldn’t fit into his show but still wants them to know.
“Off the Charts with Ali Velshi”
Each Thursday, Ali Velshi goes to MS NOW’s Big Board for a deeper look at the latest polling and voter data and what it could mean for the upcoming elections.
“Political Potluck with Claire McCaskill”
Former U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill sits down with lawmakers, officials and Americans across the Midwest for real conversations about what matters at their kitchen tables. And like all good kitchen table talks, the conversations will begin with food.
“Answers with Andrew Weissmann”
Each week, Andrew Weissmann answers Member questions, joined by special guests, on major legal developments and explains what it means and what to expect in the months ahead.
