FIRST LOOK AT MS NOW’S NEW STUDIOS IN TIMES SQUARE

(NEW YORK – Nov. 5, 2025) – In just 10 days, MS NOW will debut its brand-new studios within VERSANT’s headquarters in the heart of Times Square in New York City.

The buildout features three modern studios to support more than 120 hours of live news programming, including a completely immersive, innovative virtual reality studio that is unique to MS NOW.

The new studios were constructed and completed for broadcast in just three months. The unprecedented buildout is meant to ensure a seamless transition for the MS NOW audience.  

The Times Square studios feature advanced technology and capabilities, including: 

• The latest generation of LEDs on the market, fully capable of advanced broadcast applications and integrations across next-generation virtualized production, including AR, VR, and XR.
• More than 1,782 square feet of LED product, including a custom 1.6 mm LED video wall that is capable of 240 Hz operation.
• More than 2,648 individual LED modules, equaling 2,171 linear feet – or seven football fields.
• A virtual reality studio with more than 60 million pixels, including a truly flexible, undulating LED screen capable of 240Hz at 1.6mm and a dynamic 1.6mm LED floor.
• The cutting-edge display technology represents the finest pixel-pitch display capable of 240 Hz.
• This technology enables each camera to output four distinct images simultaneously.
• Camera tracking enables real-time content perspective shifts based on camera movement and zoom, delivering a highly realistic viewing experience.
• More than 300 light fixtures are powering all three studios. 

Additionally, within the MS NOW newsroom, a 360° flash cam is centered for on-air hits with the backdrop of an active newsgathering operation. The production operation is also supported by two control rooms and a dedicated podcast studio.

As MS NOW is slated to begin broadcasting from its New York location, the organization has simultaneously established a Washington Bureau, located just steps away from the U.S. Capitol, to support its Washington, D.C.-based programming and reporting teams. Last week, MSNBC announced it will officially rebrand to MS NOW on Nov. 15, coinciding with the network’s first day broadcasting from VERSANT HQ. The transition to new studios comes as MS NOW readies to officially spin off into VERSANT, a leading independent publicly traded media company.
