(NEW YORK – September 10, 2026) – Tonight, MS NOW’s The Weeknight hits the road for a live broadcast from Dallas, Texas, as co-anchors Symone Sanders Townsend, Michael Steele and Luke Russert bring viewers to the Lone Star State, a center of the political conversations, contests and debates defining the 2026 midterm elections.
At 7 p.m. ET, Sanders Townsend, Steele and Russert will helm The Weeknight live from Dallas, breaking down the latest developments in Texas and across the country. The special edition will feature an exclusive cable interview with Texas State Rep. James Talarico on his Senate campaign and the political dynamics shaping Texas ahead of the midterm elections. Plus, MS NOW Senior Washington Reporter Eugene Daniels will join the trio to discuss the races drawing national attention and Texas' role as a key battleground state heading into November.

Immediately following the broadcast, viewers can continue the conversation with The Weeknight in an exclusive after-show interactive Q&A as part of MS NOW’s newly launched Membership. Taking questions directly, both from the online MS NOW community and those on-the-ground in Dallas, the co-anchors will offer key insights and perspectives on the MS NOW community’s most pressing questions, responding to Members in real-time.
