Season Kicks Off with 2025 Championship Rematch on Wed., Jan. 7, as Defending Champions LOVB Austin Host LOVB Nebraska at 6 p.m. ET Live on USA Network

STAMFORD, Conn. – January 5, 2026 – USA Sports and League One Volleyball (LOVB) have announced that two-time Olympic medalist, world champion and NCAA champion Courtney Thompson and long-time volleyball play-by-play commentator, analyst and sideline reporter Shelby Coppedge will serve as the broadcast team for the LOVB Game of the Week, airing Wednesday nights on USA Network.

USA Sports’ LOVB Game of the Week coverage begins this Wednesday, Jan. 7 at 6 p.m. ET on USA Network with LOVB’s First Serve, featuring a rematch of the 2025 Championship when LOVB Nebraska faces defending champion LOVB Austin. From there, USA Network will exclusively air the league’s Game of the Week in primetime on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET and will feature LOVB’s second semifinals match (April 12) and both championship matches (April 16 and 18), where the 2026 LOVB champions will be crowned live to a primetime audience.

  • Joined the U.S. national team in 2007 and won two Olympic medals (2012 – Silver, 2016 – Bronze) and a World Championship title (2014) with Team USA.
  • Played for the University of Washington and was a four-year captain, leading the team to an NCAA title in 2005
    • Broke multiple assist records during her collegiate career
    • Was the first woman to have her jersey retired at UW
  • Hosted “Beyond the Court: A LOVB Podcast”
  • Serves as LOVB’s Head of Player Experience
  • Worked as a mental performance coach after retiring as a player
  • Supported LOVB broadcast coverage in 2025 as analyst and reporter

  • Played Division 1 collegiate volleyball for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 
  • Was an analyst and play-by-play commentator for LOVB’s inaugural season in 2025
  • Serves in several capacities covering women's volleyball, including match analyst, studio analyst, play-by-play and sideline reporter
  • Has volleyball broadcasting experience on the pro (LOVB), international (Italian League and VNL), high school (Under Armour All-America) and collegiate levels, including NCAA women's indoor regular season, NCAA Tournament and NCAA Championship matches
  • Has also worked as a sideline reporter and studio host covering the Houston Texans, Houston Astros and San Antonio Spurs
  • Additional experience covering other college sports including NCAA football and basketball as a sideline reporter and play-by-play announcer
  • Native of Austin, Texas
