Through First 28 Games of Season, USA Sports’ WNBA Viewership UP 33% vs. the 2025 WNBA Cable Average
STAMFORD, Conn. – July 28, 2026 – USA Sports’ WNBA coverage on USA Network continues this week with a Wednesday night doubleheader as Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings host Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream at 8 p.m. ET followed by Kahleah Copper and the Phoenix Mercury hosting Gabby Williams and the Golden State Valkyries at 10 p.m. ET.
Heading into this past weekend’s All-Star break, USA Sports’ WNBA viewership is up 33% vs. the 2025 WNBA cable average, one of many viewership milestones and records for USA Sports in its inaugural season of WNBA coverage. Through 28 games so far this season, USA Sports’ WNBA coverage is averaging 557,000 viewers and has aired four of the five most-watched WNBA games on cable or streaming this season. USA Sports’ WNBA coverage gets underway tomorrow with the WNBA on USA Pregame Show presented by Ford at 7:30 p.m. ET featuring host Paris Lawson alongside analysts Renee Montgomery and Chamique Holdsclaw. Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham will make her second appearance for USA Sports as an athlete contributor to tomorrow night’s studio coverage.
The doubleheader then begins with the Wings (18-9) hosting the Dream (16-10) on USA Network at 8 p.m. ET as Meghan McPeak (play-by-play), Amy Audibert (analyst) and Terrika Foster-Brasby (courtside reporter) will call the game live from College Park Center in Arlington. Basketball Hall of Famer Sheryl Swoopes, a four-time WNBA champion with Houston and three-time WNBA MVP, will join USA Sports’ commentary team as a guest analyst for Dream-Wings on USA Network tomorrow.
The second leg of Wednesday’s doubleheader features the Golden State Valkyries, who own the second-best record in the WNBA at 19-8, visiting the Phoenix Mercury (10-18) at 10 p.m. ET on USA Network as Carlan Gay (play-by-play), Lea B. Olsen (analyst) and Edona Thaqi (courtside reporter) will call the game from Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix. USA Sports will also simulcast Wednesday’s Valkyries-Mercury game (and all second games of doubleheaders this season) on CNBC, making sure viewers don’t miss a moment of the action.

Last year, USA Sports and the WNBA announced an 11-year media rights agreement for USA Network to present WNBA games – including the regular-season and portions of the Playoffs and WNBA Finals in select years – beginning with the 2026 season.
